Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I've always tried to do my bit to raise money for Cancer charities, from running 10K races to having a no present - just donate Anniversary party! Now I've embarked on my biggest challenge to date - the Prostate Cancer Yorkshire to Amsterdam bike ride. I'm sure everyone with a father in law, father, brother, son, husband, partner or mate may be one day or already affected by prostate cancer, the most common cancer in men. Thats why I'm doing this ride to raise much needed funds for a charity who support men and their families living with prostate cancer.

On a more personal note my main motivation for putting myself through this challenge is to support one of the most inspirational men i know (my father in law) who has advanced prostate cancer. He has approached this dreadful illness  in such a positive way, never complaining, continuing to put others first and carrying on with daily life despite the pain and discomfort. Without Prostate Cancer UK men like Ged wouldn't have the same support and quality of life without funds being raised for this charity to research and support people.More than ten thousand men die of prostate cancer each year. that's more than one man dying every hour of every day. And there are over a quarter of a million men living with the disease in the UK today. Please help me reach my target, any little donation will help and can make a huge difference! Thank you.
