Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I manage the drug screening facility in SITraN, where we are trying to find cures for Motor Neuron Disease, Parkinson's Disease and other neurodegenerative diseases. Finding an active drug in the lab is only part of the battle, fund raising for the PET/MRI scanner will allow us, when we test our best compounds in people, to measure whether they have activity in the brain. That way we will learn more from our trials what ever the outcome of the trial.

I am fortunate enough to show patients, carers and general public around SITraN. Meeting people who cope with these devastating diseases is very motivational for me to get out there and endure a bit of pain to help raise funds; to better the chance of succeeding in curing these diseases, which will become a bigger and bigger financial burden on our society with an ever ageing population.

Thank you for support me in this worthwhile cause.
