Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Firstly, I started running back in 2008 in support of Sports Relief. I managed to do 6 laps of Coventry city centre, 10ks in total.  Since then I have ran the Two Castle 10km twice and completed 3 half marathons in 2009, Reading, Hinckley & Bosworth and Birmingham.  Now that 3 half marathons have been completed (in reasonable times I might add) its time to fulfil one of the items on my ‘bucket list’.  It’s now or never.

In order to achieve this ambition I have managed to secure a place in the 2010 London Marathon running on behalf of the Mary Ann Evans Hospice.   The Hospice strives to enhance the quality of life of people who have a life limiting illness, by offering physical, emotional, social and spiritual support to them, their families and those caring for them throughout the palliative stages of their disease. Mary Ann Evans is a registered charity and they provide their services free throughout Nuneaton, Bedworth and North Warwickshire.

This organisation receives no support from the NHS or the George Elliot Hospital where it's based and is wholly reliant on donations and fund raising activities.  It is therefore my aim to raise at least ₤1200 in support of this good cause.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
