Last year our team raised £2132 for Cancer Research UK by climbing Pen-Y-Gent. This year we would like to do even better and raise £2500 for Martin House Childrens Hospice by climbing Whernside, the highest of the 3 peaks (2414 feet!!)
Martin House Hospice cares for Children and Young People with progressive life limiting illnesses, and provide support to their families. They are based in a purpose built hospice in Boston Spa, Wetherby and care for children and young people from throughout the Yorkshire region.
There has been a baby boom at both of our practices with four of our five dentists recently becoming parents. The team has also had to complete Child Protection training as part of new government guidelines. All in all it has made us all appreciate that children are very precious so this year we wanted to try and help a local childrens charity.
