Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Autism is a lifelong developmental disability that affects the way a person communicates and relates to people around them. People with autism have difficulties with everyday social interaction.

Autism NI was formed in 1989 by a group of parents and professionals concerned by the lack of Autism services in Northern Ireland, Autism NI seeks to ensure that people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their carers have access to appropriate services, enabling people with Autism to become valued members of the community.

The main areas of  work are: family support, information and advice, branch support, training, awareness raising, helpline, resource centre, political lobbying, research, policy change and strategic planning

Members of the Lisburn Catering Department will be completing an arduous 24 mile walk over the Antrim Hills in September, donations to support this event are gratefully requested!
