3 years ago my grandson was born with a serious heart defect.  He was instantly transferred to the Bristol Children's Hospital and at the grand age of 2 days old the hospital performed open heart surgery on him.  Fast forward 3 years and he is now your typical toddler - so yes I am a very tired Grandfather!!

To thank the Bristol Children's Hospital for the wonderful care they gave my grandson and continue to give children all across Wales and the West of England I am undertaking the Great North Run (yes you did read that right!!) to raise money for the Wallace & Gromit Grand Appeal (which supports the hospital).

I appreciate that times are tough for everyone, but every little bit of spare cash you can donate will be going to an extremely worthy cause.
