Thank you for visiting my London Marathon charity page.

As you know I love running, and therefore don't normally ask for charity donations. The London Marathon is, however, different.

Firstly this is such an important fundraising event for charities like Macmillan. My entry is "good for age" so I did not need a charity place - but I wanted to seize the chance to help Macmillan. They are an ethical charity which provides invaluable support to people with cancer.

Secondly this is my first attempt at the London marathon. I am expecting a very tough race, as I have set myself the challenge of getting as close to the 3 hour mark as I can. This is going to involve a considerable amount of pain!
