After watching my friends running the GNR on tv last year I thought the atmosphere and stories were fantastic and decided that I would see if I could achieve a half marathon during my 50th year 😄! After joining the fantastic OOKs I was able to get a GNR place through Advantage Africa. This is a fantastic charity that supports many people throughout East Africa, their work includes projects that enable disabled children to go to school,people with HIV to access essential treatment, single parent families to earn a sustainable income and much more. 

Well, with a massive amount of support from everyone around me and a  year of on/off training, let’s hope I’m ready!
