Story

For Syrian families bread is an essential part of their daily diet. As the Syrian crisis entered its fourth year, more than 9 million people have been uprooted from their homes and at least half of the displaced are children. The scarcity of fuel and flour are making it almost impossible for bakeries to supply bread. The price for food is ever rising and daily life for the Syrian people is a continuous struggle.

SKT Welfare has set up a bakery to which they are supplying flour, fuel, and maintenance including worker salaries. The bakery distributes bread to to hundreds of families within 7 local refugee camps on a daily basis. Alhamdulillah, this projects has benefited 243,100 people. SKT Welfare purchases flour, yeast, salt etc. A tonne of flour produces roughly 1000 packs of bread, each containing 10 loaves.

An individual consumes 2 loaves of bread per meal so a single packet would suffice the average Syrian family for one meal.
Donating just £7 will provide a family with 10 packs of bread.
