Story
''I don't dream''
said 10 year old Ahmed as he sat in the corner of his confined room, surrounded by rubble.
He is a child who has never had the opportunity to dream except his only wish is to go to school.
His sisters, 'Anood (25), Turkiya (21) and Ahmed himself are all from Aleppo, Syria.
They fled Syria as their school next door was hit by 2 rockets.
We met these siblings who we had to greet on the floor due to their severe disabilities. They are not able to do anything without their mother. They are completely dependant on her for everything. Their father left them and re-married elsewhere.
'Anood is so fragile, she fell lightly and broke her leg and has become bed ridden ever since.
They fled Syria in a truck and the trip took 5 days to reach safety. But their troubles do not end here.
Her mother has diabetes and very low blood pressure, but she cannot afford to get ill for a second due to her responsibilities. They have a 14 year old brother who works in a farm all day to try bring in some income but his work is very inconsistent.
They have no money for rent or food and live in such dire conditions that their bathroom is in a kitchen.
Once we have reached what we need for Ahmed and his family, we will increase the target and help Ameena.
Ameena's Independence
"I'm independent but I can't do anything..."
Meet brother and sister, Ameena (36) and Mohammed (33). Living in a broken down shop that was converted into a house, with boards to separate the room into a very small kitchen and living area.
"We need everything here."
They came to Jordan almost 4 months ago from Saudi Arabia after fleeing from Syria. Their father was killed in Syria and their mother and sister are missing. Mohammed is suffering from Kidney failure and has partial paralysis, blocked arteries and high blood pressure. Ameena and Mohammed left their parents and siblings in Syria to seek treatment for Mohammed in Saudi Arabia. After not being able to get treatment and becoming homeless in Saudi Arabia, they were deported to Jordan.
"I'm independent, I used to go out and work for myself, but I can't do anything and I have to help my brother. We have no food, medicine and have to live everyday as it comes. When Mohammed doesn't have his injections, he passes out and I have to carry him like a child.
''I would never usually ask but i am desperate, please help me'', Says Ameenah
