Story

Dear Friends

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page - I ran my first marathon in Paris on the 15th April 2012 in 4hrs 5min 3secs!

One of my lifetime ambition was to do a full marathon, and I've done it! I did hobble like a 100 year-old who lost her zimmer frame afterwards, but it was well worth it!

It was worth the challenge of squeezing time out of my daily routine to clock up the miles in the cold, wet, dark mornings and evenings. I wanted to do it not only for myself, but for a great cause. Having worked in the field, I appreciate the important work Arthritis Research UK does, and have therefore chosen to run my first marathon for ARUK.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
