Ok folks,
On the 19th of February I will be jumping out of an airplane!!!....I'll be doing a skydive and will be raising money for the ACLT, a charity very close to my heart as one day I may need them to help save the life of my little boy Keiri.
My son Keiri was diagnosed with Leukaemia 2 years ago and at the moment he's treatment is going well. However, if it so happens that one day he needs a bone marrow transplant the chances of him finding a suitable donor would be incredibally small due to the low number of black and mixed race donors on the bone marrow register.
The ACLT is a charity whose aim is to raise awareness and recruit more black and mixed race donors. Tragically, they have recently had their funds cut by half and are at great risk of closure.Without the help of the ACLT many young people and children will not survive their illness. We need this charity to keep running so that young people and children just like Keiri can get the help they need to find a suitble bone marrow donor.
