On Saturday 11 September, my family, friends and I are taking part in the Gloucestershire Historic Churches Trust Ride and Stride event.  We'll be cycling to as many old churches as we can in and around Cirencester.  Last year our route incorporated a village fete, an impromptu picnic at a friend's house, a precarious cycle through a ford and a cooling off swim in a brook.  Any money we raise will be split between the parish church in Cirencester and the county trust, to be used to preserve other historic churches around the county.  For me, our old churches are places of tranquility and beauty and I'd be delighted if you feel able to support me with a donation.
