Aimee's climbing Mont Blanc #DoWhatYouCant · 26 June 2019

Motivated by the strength and unfaltering sense of humour of our youngest daughter Poppy, we as a family are committed to support The Lily Foundation and help find a cure for Mitochondrial Disease.

Story

In June this year, I will be taking on my biggest challenge yet - climbing the highest mountain in Western Europe, Mont Blanc.

4810m tall, reaching the summit would be standing on the top of Europe! Those who know me well, know that I love a challenge and this is a dream of mine. With a 66% success rate, it will take great determination and teamwork. I am doing this with a great group of 11 Samsung colleagues, raising awareness and money for an amazing charity and one extra close to us, the Lily Foundation.

The Lily Foundation was founded in Lily's memory, having lost her battle to Mitochondrial Disease at just eight months old. The charity aims to give hope, answers and support to the many other children and families that face the challenges of this disease today.Did you know every twenty minutes a child is born who will develop Mitochondrial Disease by the age of 16! There is no cure for this disease which is for many, debilitating and life limiting. Please stand with us and fight Mitochondrial Disease and fight for hope.
