SpecialEffect are a charity that have brought fun and inclusion back to many disabled people’s lives by helping them to play video games.

If it was not for SpecialEffect then many people with disabilities, (including myself) would not be able to play computer games.

I contacted SpecialEffect last February asking them if they could help me to get back gaming again, as from the age of 16 I had lost the ability to use any type of games controller as I had lost movement in my hands.  With their assistance and perseverance they found a controller I could use along with voice recognition software.

SpecialEffect help many disabled people worldwide to help them play video games which not only brings fun into their lives but also inclusion, confidence and independence. SpecialEffect require your support to maintain what they do and carry on helping disabled people.  

On the 22nd of February, I will be participating in a Games Marathon where I will be playing a video game for 7 hours straight in order to help raise much needed funds for SpecialEffect.

Please help me to reach my target of £500 so that SpecialEffect can continue to help many people with disabilities play computer games.
