It is unfortunate that we have turned our backs on a nation which the Prophet ﷺ referred to when he said, “They are from me and I am from them”.

Yemen NEEDS YOU!

The on-going conflict in Yemen is devastating lives. As life continues to be systematically obliterated in Yemen, millions of people are struggling for survival. They are homeless and hungry with no source of livelihood.

Let me remind you of the Hadith by our beloved Prophet SAW “Indeed charity does not decrease wealth”.

Imagine your child was out of education, out of the basics of live - food, water, shelter, clothes, parents, happiness. When will we understand that we’re living like kings and queens? In our luxurious beds and our beautifully structured homes and easy access to food and water. Alhamdulillah, we’re spoilt and if Firaun was to witness the life we live he’d be fuming because we’d be the ones ruling him!

We can always be grateful to Allah swt with our tongues and our hearts but none of that really matters unless you show it with your actions.

“So remember me, and I will remember you, and be grateful to me and never ungrateful to me.” [2:152]

The Prophet Muhammad (saw) said: “Allah will give you the reward of feeding a fasting person even if you were to give him just a sip of milk, a date, or a sip of water. He who feeds a fasting person until he is full, Allah will make him drink out of my river, a sip of which will never allow him to be thirsty until he enters Jannah.” [Al Bayhaqi] 

“Charity does NOT DECREASE wealth.”

Yemen is more than war. Yemen holds the promise for a better future. Yemen is its people, its handicrafts, its houses, its laughing children, its dances, its songs, its workers, its plants and its fish.
