The Chairs Assembly acted as the "incubator" of the Future Dharma Fund, which is now nearly ready to stand on its own two feet. The idea of the Fund is quite simply to provide financial resources for projects to spread the Dharma (the teachings and practices of Buddhism) throughout the world. Given the parlous state of the world, it seems to me that this is needed more desperately than ever before.
