my name is Akiq and I am a student from QMUL that is going to be part of a delegation going to Jordan to help set up the first rehabilitation clinic in the Za'atari refugee camp. This is a student led initiative for such a great cause. more information about the project is provided below. 

Project Description:

In terms of need to the rehabilitation centre that  provide a conducive place for children and youth with various types of disabilities are including physical, sensory, cognitive, intellectual impairment  and mental illness at all stages and levels  , orphans and their families to come and be heard , educated, supported and trained, to have an opportunity to establish a community for socially disadvantaged children and youth, so that they can overcome the odds and lead a healthy, productive and a dignified life. 

Project objective: 

- Opening educational classrooms for the following categories: mental and audio-visual and kinetic disabilities.

- Providing rehabilitation services and care.

- integrating parents, especially mothers with groups of people with disabilities.

- Providing verbal training service.

Expected benefit of the project:

-Providing a direct service to disables people and their families.

- Providing a direct service of awareness to the families of people with disabilities.

- Providing an educational, health and training service for people with disabilities.

- Providing services assistance for people with disabilities.

- Providing educational programs for orphans and their families.

- Training and rehabilitation programs for orphans and their families.

-Sponsoring of orphans.
