Big Al does the London Marathon 2010
Hi Everyone,
As some of you probably know, this year is quite a landmark year for me, as not only will I be reaching the big 40; I’m also going to be attempting my first full Marathon as well. Yes, I’m going to be running no less than 26.2 miles across London on Sunday the 25th of April.
I really want to make this a special year and plan to put those ever increasing grey hairs to the back of my mind and fight the middle age spread, by focusing on this fantastic challenge (I keep telling myself it’s only 1 lap of Sefton Park 13 times!........).
I’d really like to be able to put something back into the community where I’ve grown up and since cancer will affect 1 in 3 of us, I’ve chosen to support a fantastic charity called the North West Cancer Research Fund. I’d be really grateful if you’d consider helping me to celebrate my big year and in turn support a really worthy cause. Also, any donations to the Compeed and Vaseline fund would be gratefully appreciated too!! Many thanks and best wishes.
