Rythre Tour de T-Bone · 13 June 2010

The Epilepsy Research Institute’s mission is to radically advance research for the #Onein100 people living with epilepsy. A life free from epilepsy is possible. But only through research We need energetic, adventurous and creative people like you to help us raise vital funds for epilepsy research!

Story

On June 13th 2010 there will be an event of truly massive proportions. A group of highly unskilled and particularly unhealthy individuals will be attempting the unthinkable:

Cycling from Ryther (York) to London

We are convinced that nobody has ever dared to do this before and that the ramifications of such a feat will send ripples around the world.  Actually, wouldn't you just know it,  it has transpired that these type of events are as common as muck. Even so, it will not be easy and it's my very first charity event.  We intend to do this journey of approximately 270 miles over 4 days, spending our nights gathering strength in local hostels and our days burning the rubber on our unimpressive machines. So that this incredible effort achieves more than making our backsides extremely sore, we are asking people to sponsor us. The money raised will go to support a number of local charities of which mine is Epilepsy Research UK. As a child sufferer this brain illness can be incredibly restrictive.  I was one of the lucky ones only being affected twice a year on average.  However, some sufferers are haunted by this disease to such an extent that they are house bound and require full time supervision.  Your donations will help towards making a better life for those who suffer.  Please, please, please give as generously as you can afford.  And if anything else - spare a thought for my backside!

Thank you very much in advance!
