The Yorkshire 3 peaks · 5 July 2014

Autistic Children and Carers Together is a parent-led support group for autistic children and their families in Sheffield. We run weekly activity groups, provide support to parents and carers, and run day trips and family outings.

Story

The Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge involves a climbing the peaks of Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-Y-Ghent. The total distance is 24.5 miles and height climbed will be 5249 feet.

Our struggle to complete this walk will be little compared to the difficulties experience by those with autism and their carers

Autism is a debilitating condition which inhibits sufferers from engaging with those around them.

Sufferers may have the potential to work at a high level, but need as much support as possible to help them achieve their potential

ACCT is a local charity set up with the aim of giving support to children with autism and their carers

We urge you to support us in our challenge by donating to this very worthwhile cause through our Justgiving site

Thank you from Alan and Alison
