As many of you will already be aware I will be cycling from John O'Groats to Land’s End on the Deloitte Ride Across Britain starting on 8 June and finishing on 16 June 2013. To give you some idea of the challenge ahead, that equates to 960 miles and 51,000ft of climbing.

A large portion of my entry fee helps to raise funds for the British Paralympic Association, which is a very worthwhile cause on its own. However, I would also like to support a local charity, and to this end I am asking for your generous contributions to assist with raising funds for this registered charity, Male Uprising in Guernsey (www.mug.gg). MUG’s aim is to increase the awareness and promote the education of “male cancers”, namely prostate, bowel and testicular cancers. They have already done some sterling work in Guernsey and are worthy of your support.
