My name is Alan and I enjoy running.  I have participated in many running events over the last few years including 10K races, half marathons and next year am entering my first ever full Marathon, having gained a place in the Brighton Marathon in April.

Also in 2010 my wife and I will be running in the Bristol 10K in May, an event which we have participated in for the last two years raising money for various charities along the way.  This year we will be raising money for COCO, an international children's charity that tries to make a BIG difference to the lives of children affected by poverty, famine, war, illness and disease.

Whatever you are able to donate will make a big difference to a child living in poverty, for example the school feeding programme in Malawi provides a hot meal every lunchtime for school children.  A donation of just £5 would feed one child every day for a year, so if 5 people were able to donate just £1 each then one child in Malawi would not go hungry today.
