I have chosen to raise money for UK Mountain Rescue as I rely on their backup to follow my passion. They are all volunteers and give their time for free to save people like us when we get it wrong and fall into trouble. They often go out in foul weather for no benefit other than the desire to save lives. That makes them heroes in my book. The money will help to buy equipment to support their rescue efforts – simple stuff like ropes, stretchers and climbing equipment. Please give generously – you never know when you might need them.
