Awyr Las (Blue Sky) is the North Wales NHS Charity. Through the charity you can support the specific hospital wards, departments or community healthcare services that are closest to your heart. Your support helps fund added extras which the NHS in North Wales cannot provide.

Story

.“I'm taking part in the London Marathon and 6 snowdonia marathons in 6 days to support my close friend Irfon Williams, who has launched #teamirfon - a fundraising campaign to raise ££££££ to support the Alaw Unit in Ysbyty Gwynedd where he is currently receiving treatment as he battles bowel cancer.

#teamirfon has been set up by Irfon Williams and his family to create good times and to thank all those on the Alaw Unit who provide fantastic support.

The number of people with cancer is increasing.  By 2020, almost one in two people will get cancer. Over 1,500 people with cancer were looked after on the Alaw Unit last year, and they are looking after Irfon this year.

I'm supporting #teamirfon because I want to make sure the fantastic staff on Alaw can go on providing the incredible extra care, treatment and research that is funded through Awyr Las for many years to come.

Snowdonia marathon is classed as the most scenic and toughest in the UK so to do 6 in 6 days will me a thought test physically and mentally

All donation will help provide the added extras – big and small – that make huge difference to the experience of local patients with cancer.”

I am willing to do my bit..... Can you ?
