Make-A-Wish UK is part of a global movement that exists to make life-changing wishes come true for the thousands of critically ill children across the UK. The power of a wish allows families to create lasting memories that they will treasure forever – no matter what the future holds.

Story

This year, the Maxol Group decided to partner with the Make-A-Wish Foundation as our charity of the year. The aim of the partnership is to support the charitable work of Make-A-Wish in granting magical wishes to children between the ages of 3 and 17 years who are living with life-threatening conditions.

I have decided that I will raise money for this very worthwhile cause by cycling around Lough Neagh with some of my friends and colleagues.  As a group, we could not be described as athletic, and this mere 87mile jaunt round the lough, along with the accompanying horizontal rain and plague of flies that this annual festival of misery attracts, is no mean feat.

Your donations will be used to make wishes come true for some very deserving children and young people.  Anything that you can spare will be put to good use, and will help take the sting out of a few saddle sores.  Press the donate button above.  Go on!

If you are feeling really generous, I am also raising funds for research into MeCP2 Duplication Syndrome.  You can donate on my other JustGiving page: http://www.justgiving.com/Alan-Pollock1

Many Thanks,

Alan
