Story

On behalf of Alan Rickman and all the student recipients, RADA would like to thank all the contributors, past and present for their generous contributions. We hope  that the generosity of his fans will continue and that RADA will be in a position to continue to award Alan Rickman bursary support in the 2012-13 academic year.

The Alan Rickman Birthday page is now in its ninth  year and was set up to commemorate his birthday.  Alan is a RADA graduate and Vice Chairman of the RADA Council.  The Alan Rickman bursary fund assists students in genuine financial need to allow them to complete their training here.

Since the fund was started in 2002 it has raised over £8,500 which is allocated to students on the Academy's full time core courses on an annual basis.

27 RADA students have so far benefited from this funding.  They are: Tom Burke, Owain Yeoman, Alisa Murphy, Wunmi Mokasku, Jonathan Martlew, David Ononokpono, Paul Rhodes, Jeany Spark, Yvonne Deighton, Matthew Bigg, Annie Hemingway, Joe Kloska, John Hollingworth, Sophie Stone, Sonya Cassidy,  Natalie Kenrick, Nina Ogden, Gemma Thomas, Yasmine Akram, Keiko LeMon,  Lydia Wilson, Claire Wardroper, Charlotte Willis, Paul Christie, Jonathan Coulson, Caroline Perry, Jack Parry-Jones (AKA Benjamin Cole - Current Acting student - Year 3)
