Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Last july Sophie died unexpectedly following an epilepsy related accident at the age of only 23. I helped bring Sophie up from the age of 8 years old and her untimely death has left a big void in our family.

This September to coincide with Sophie's 25th birthday I will be doing the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge with Sophie's father and boyfriend raising funds for Epilepsy Research UK in memory of Sophie ( Sophie Hannon Memorial Fund see link below).

The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge is a 25 miles (40km) circular trek taking in Peny-Ghent (691m), Whernside (728m) and Ingleborough (723m). The aim is to do the challenge in a day and as none of us have done a walk on this scale before  it is going to be tough.

Raising funds for research is vital in order to help improve medical treatment and help find a cure to prevent  tragedies like this happening again and I hope you will be able to support the cause.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
