Story

<p class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span><span style="font-family: Consolas; font-size: small;">As most of you are aware I have had some some shocking &amp; bad news after the Christmas break. In one day I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and a (secondary) malignant brain tumour. </span></span></p> <p class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span><span style="font-family: Consolas; font-size: small;">&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span><span style="font-family: Consolas; font-size: small;">Thankfully, the diagnosis of the brain tumour is more positive than was first feared but I do face a long journey of treatment and recuperation. The double challenge of fighting the diabetes and the cancer treatment will require me to show sustained strong willpower and determination. Which lots of people keep telling me that they know I possess!</span></span></p> <p class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span><span style="font-family: Consolas; font-size: small;">&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span><span style="font-family: Consolas; font-size: small;">The doctors are taking good care of the cancer (with the brain tumour already having been removed) but I am hoping that you might like to help me with the Diabetes. </span></span></p> <p class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span><span style="font-family: Consolas; font-size: small;">&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span><span style="font-family: Consolas; font-size: small;">I currently weigh in at circa 120kgs (265 pounds) and I need to get to 100kgs (220 pounds) so I would love to have sponsors for every pound that I lose over the coming weeks &amp; months. The idea is that when I reach the target weight I let you know &ndash; (I&rsquo;ll also give you some updates) and you pay me the sponsorship.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span><span style="font-family: Consolas; font-size: small;">&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span><span style="font-family: Consolas; font-size: small;">I do believe that I have the will power to do this, but your help will definitely support me on the road to a full recovery. So I do hope you will feel able to join in and give me that extra push to drop the pounds, help my blood sugar and my overall health as I take on my cancer treatment, whilst raising some money for St. Georges Hospital, where I had my brain tumour removed.</span></span></p>
