Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am doing this sponsored weight loss in aid of Macmillan cancer support.

Many of you may or may not know I lost my Uncle 4 years ago to cancer at the age of 55. To me my Uncle was not like any other Uncle, he was my best friend, my brother and a second Dad all rolled into one. He was always there to help and advise me when i thought i couldnt ask anyone else.

4 years on it is still very hard and I miss him so very much and has left a big hole in my life, something i dont think I'll ever get over. I watched him slowly deteriorate over the last 6 months of his life, after the surgeons said there was nothing else they could do for him.  The support and help from Macmillans and their nurses during that time helped him and my Aunt make those last months as comfortable and stress free under the circumstances.

I want to raise money in his honor to help other people in they way they helped my Uncle.

I want to lose over 2 stone in order to get down to a "normal weight" foe my height. I am starting with my first weigh in on Monday 22nd Feb and will be weighed every week there on in. For every pound i put on during the period i will donate £10 to the fund!

My aim is to reach 13 stone by 1st July, 4 Months to lose just under two and half stone. (well at the time of writing this! ) Will update this page with my progress....
