Anyone who knows me will know I do not run! I had a lapse in judgement and signed up for the Plymouth 10k with only 1 month to train. 

I  have several reasons for doing this but one is my Auntie Pam who passed away from Pancreatic Cancer. Pancreatic Cancer has the lowest relative survival rate of all major cancers. For every 100 diagnosed only 6 will survive after 5 years. It often shows very little symptoms and early detection is essential for survival. Another reason that I have (despite my better judgement) decided to Run 10k is to support a good friend of mine during a difficult time. She is an inspiration always challenging and pushing herself past her limits, raising money for Cancer Research through her Charity Pink Pong: http://www.pinkpong.co.uk/.  She always puts other before herself and has supported me through difficulties many times. I am extremely privileged to call her a friend.
