The reason I am raising money by running the Race for Life is because my Grandad has recently been diagnosed with Mesothelioma, a cancer caused by asbestos.

This type of cancer is terminal and is usually found in the later stages of cancer, however early diagnosis can give those who suffer from Mesothelioma months and even in some cases years to live.

This is my first cancer run and I hope to do more, my aim is to raise awareness and money to fund research that could mean that other people who suffer from Mesothelioma, can have the be caught for their cancer to be caught in the early stages.
