Marie Curie is here for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. Whatever the illness, wherever you are, we’re with you to the end. We bring 75 years of experience and leading research to the care we give you at home, in our hospices and over the phone.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In October I will be treking on part of the Great Wall of China for five days. This should be a great challenge giving an opportunity to see some outstanding countryside and to meet Chinese people in both the country and the capital.

The funds raised will be used in the Glasgow Marie Curie hospice to provide both in-patient, out-patient and day therapy care.

The pipeathon has now happened and I can report that it went very well with some great support from the staff and visitors to the hospice together with a super effort by the pipers taking part, some of whom did nearly double shifts. Having started piping at 2pm on Saturday, playing through the night and finishing at 2pm Sunday it was hard work but good fun. Some of the photo's show me at different stages of the event with some of the pipers who took part.
