Bath Half Marathon 2012 · 11 March 2012 ·

The Aim of the trust is to provide support for the orphans of Bertoua, Cameroon and the surrounding villages by providing; foster care, healthcare and education. To provide education and facilities for the villages to become self sustaining in the support of the orphans.

Story

I'm running the Bath half marathon on 11th March 2012 to raise money for Cameroon Catalyst - a student led engineering development project working alongside the Mosame Trust charity aiming to promote self-sufficiency and sustainable development in Cameroon.

This year we need to raise £30,000 to build a primary school for the village of Bambouti in East Cameroon. The village population is largely made up of children so providing safe and well-equipped schooling facilities is a high priority for the community. All of the money donated will go towards the construction of the school. You can see a conceptual design of the school somewhere in my photos...

So yeah, training for the race has commenced! Started with a brisk walk to lectures...gotta start small! Will keep the page updated with how it's all going, aiming for a time of 1hr 45m so need to get my running shoes on!

I would be extremely grateful if you could donate anything you can on this page to help build the school for the village. Thank you for reading!
