Story

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for donating to Make-a-wish.

I am running in this years Great North Run on Sept 18th. This half marathon is one of the most famous running events in the world and it is a privilege for me to be in it and to raise money for this great charity, Make-A-Wish.

The Make-a-wish foundation does great work for children with life-threatening ilnesses and for the last 25 years the foundation has granted many magical wishes for these children.

Make-a-wish is looking to raise a great deal of money, but my target for this event is £400.

Although it looks like I have a way to go I have also raised £100.00 using the good old-fashioned sponsor form.

Anything you can donate is greatly appreciated. I will continue to update this page as time goes by, training and preparation as well as great things Make-A-Wish does for many many children.

Training is going well. I am now under my target of 8 min/mile. A colleague of mine has challenged me to finish in under 1h40m. For every minute I get under that time he will donate £5.00. This means my new target is 7m40s per mile.

Argh...under 2 months to go. I am still powered by XRP Energy, so I should get through this pretty well. I have decided to re-introduce gym work focussing on cross-fit work and now lots more running. A couple of weekends ago I completed a local 5 mile race on a hilly route in 39m04s. Very happy with that.

Yours sincerely

Alen
