Thanks to everyone that's donated so far. With only 16% of the total collected so far, I still have a long way to go. Please help and donate today. Many thanks Alex.

His dedication and commitment to cycling and the charity he was fundraising for inspired me so much that this year I’ll be doing the same.

For some time I have been looking for a challenge that is achievable, enjoyable and will get the old body moving again. While cycling to Paris is no mean feat in itself (and will undoubtedly cause a few aches and pains along the way), it will all be little more comfortable if I could ask you for your support by making a donation to the charity I’ll be cycling for, U Foundation. The challenge takes 4 days, starting on the 26 June in South East London, ending on the 29 June in Paris and covers just over 300 miles. I’ll also be posting regular updates on my training via the JustGiving website and Facebook should you wish to know how I’m getting on.

The U Foundation began in January 2004. It was started by a small group of people who had a desire to reach out and help others in developing countries to achieve a better life for themselves. For the past two years they have been supporting projects in Zambia and gained charity status in March 2006. The U Foundation currently supports four main projects, all with an aim to build nursery schools and support education projects in remote parts of the country. Please help me raise as much money as possible so the charity can fully benefit from the ride and make the challenge more worthwhile.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
