Update  I will be running the Great North Run blindfolded  (wearing the polyphotonix noctura 400 sleep mask) 

This year I am taking part in the Liverpool rock n' roll 5k, the Liverpool rock n' roll half marathon, the Durham Coastal Half Marathon (think hills and cliffs to fall off) and also the Great North Run.  I'm raising money for Fight for Sight as they fund research into the treatment, prevention and cure of eye diseases.  This is very close to my heart as my mam suffers from Age Related Macular Degeneration and the work I do with PolyPhotonix is on treating eye disease.

Fight for Sight is the biggest funder of research into eye disease in the UK. Even though they are a fairly small charity they fund much more research than major charities such as the RNIB or Guide Dogs.  So throw a few pennies or pound my way and help and amazing charity.

Also if anyone has any ideas of extra things for me to do on the runs, like wearing pink socks for an extra 50 quid in sponsorship or a silly hat for 100 quid. Feel free to throw the suggestion my way .
