Alex is fundraising for disadvantaged students, please help me help them

British 10K - Westminster 2018 · 15 July 2018 ·
I was fortunate enough to be able to study abroad at the University of California Davis in 2012/13 and it turned out to be the best year of my life. I met awesome people there, including the love of my life, and the experience broadened my perspective on the world and gave me an appreciation for what studying abroad can do for someone.
International education is a transformative experience. For many students, the opportunity to study abroad is not possible without the aid of a scholarship. I believe that as the world becomes more globalized, it's important to experience life abroad, and that no student should be prevented from life-changing experiences due to financial constraint.
Please help me give next generation students the opportunity to study abroad in the UK and realise the once in a lifetime and potentially life changing experiences on offer from our university system.
On Sunday 15 July 2018 (my 26th birthday...ugh) I will be running the Virgin Sports British 10K in London with a Team of University of California alumni. My primary goal it to raise as much as possible for students (this is where I appreciate your help) and to challenge myself I want to complete the 10K is less than 37 minutes 30 seconds...about 6 minutes per mile or 3 minutes 45 seconds per kilometre.
Thank you so much in advance for your generous support and encouragement. You will be helping future generations of UC students realise their dreams of studying abroad in the United Kingdom!
I will let you know how I get on with the running and fundraising!
Thank You
Alex
