Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In June 2014 I will be kayaking up 10 miles of the River Thames, starting opposite the O2 arena and finishing near Battersea Power Station. Trying to stay afloat along the way (whilst dodging boats, bridges and who knows what else that is in the Thames...) should be a challenge but I am looking forward to it.
I am doing this to riase money for the Diana Award, a charity that I have worked closely with for the last year or two. They aim to Encourage, Empower and Engage young people, in order to help them achieve good works in their local communities. Many of the young people that the Diana Award support are doing amazing things such as; raising money for charity, standing up for good in their local schools and communities, and even setting up and running their own charities.
Some of the money raised will also go to the Westminster Boating Base charity, who engage dis-advantaged young people via the medium of water sports.
Thanks for your support - no matter how big or small. It will all go to the charities and will really help those in need.
