I have been tempted to do a marathon for several years now, but last year finally decided it was time to take the bull by the horns and I secured a spot by agreeing to run for this great charity.  If you have a look on their website you'll see for yourself that the work they do is well worth backing, giving emotional and practical support to families with critically ill children.  They have been very helpful and reasurring to all of their runners for the 2015 Virgin London Marathon, including laying on expert training sessions with a professional, to give us all the best chance possible, and providing fund raising ideas and tips.

I have put my target at £1,000 in the hope that I can beat that with your help.  Fidelity will grant match 100% up to the value of £1,500 so you can consider your contribution doubled (up to that amount at least)!  To show my dedication I am shaving off my beloved hair to raise addtional money!  I know there are plenty of you our there who would love to have a part in making this happen.  It's planned to take place on the 20th of February in the restaurant at work and the highest three "bidders" by size of donation will get to do the first three strips...that surely is incentive!  Apologies to those outside of work, for whom it will be a tad tricky to attend, but pictures / video to follow!
