Hello All,

Me and a few of my good friends have decided to get on our bikes and head for the end of this fair land.  Land's End to be precise.  London to Lands' End to be exact.  I'm expecting it to be a painful experience because it requires riding between seven and ten hours a day for four days, which by my standards is quite a lot!  Date of departure is 28th April. 

I am riding for the Myfanwy Townsend Melanoma Research Fund, which aims to raise awareness and ultimately find a solution to the devastating effects of Melanoma.  Melanoma incidence has increased dramaticly in recent years with a current incidence rate at 1 in 50, doubling over the past ten years. Unless it's diagnosed early, there is a very high death rate, and it's the most common cancer amongst young people.  This is a truely worthy cause, and I am proud to be undertaking this challenge in support of the fund, and Harry Townsend - founder of the fund and a truely admirable man who's exploits for the charity far outweight mine.
