We have funded over 100 research projects tackling many forms of cancer. In 2012 we opened a dedicated clinical trials centre at Leicester Royal Infirmary to offer patients access to new medicines and therapies. We also fund two nurses who add to the care and support trials patients receive.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Last year I raised £500 for McMillan Cancer Support by doing a sky dive from 15000 feet. But any fool can throw themselves out of a plane! So now, me and a a group of friends are embarking on a personal and physical challenge, trying to raise some money for charity by doing so :-) I live in Leicester and know so many people affected by cancer recently so thought this time i'd raise some money for another good cause that's closer to home.

The National Three Peaks Challenge is an event where participants attempt to climb the 3 highest mountains in the UK within 24 hours - Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell in England and Snowdon in Wales. Climbing each peak in turn, and driven from the foot of one mountain to the next. The total distance on foot is estimated at 26miles (42 km) with a total ascent of over 3,000 m (10,000ft).
