Alex's Inca Trek - Fundraising Page

LS Rag Inca Trek 2015 · 31 August 2015 ·
In August 2015 I will be embarking on the challenge of climbing Machu Picchu. Not only will this be a massive achievement actually doing the Inca trek but it will also be a very rewarding experience as I've been set the challenge of raising £3000 for Epilepsy Society, a charity which helps 1000's of people that suffer from epilepsy.
Epilepsy is Neurological disorder which is more common than you might think. Epilepsy effects 1 in every 100 people, 87 people are diagnosed with Epilepsy everyday and a third of people with Epilepsy have seizures that cannot be controlled by medication.
The Charity is the UK's leading provider in Epilepsy services. Through their cutting edge research, awareness campaigns, information resources and expert care, they work with every single person affected by epilepsy in the UK. I feel as there is still a lot to be found out about Epilepsy and the control of seizures, the charities globally renowned pioneering research is something I would love to say I have contributed towards, and with the help of you guys reading this and hopefully donating you will help me reach my £3000 target; and with this my donation alone will sustain the cost of all research in their research centre for 4 weeks, and as a group we will have fund-raised enough to keep the research centre running for 2 years.
Please be generous and support a charity which is helping people surrounding you day-by-day here in the UK. The size of your donation doesn't matter as everything helps. I've never done anything like this before and if you could help me I will be extremely grateful, not only for unforgettable experience I will gain on the Trek but for helping me give to an amazing cause.
