Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.

Story

The cycling will be extremely challenging, as I will be riding 80 miles a day for 16 days, this is a thousand miles of cycling, including going over one of the biggest mountains in France, Mont Ventoux.

The ride to the south of France is arranged by Green Jersey Tours (www.greenjerseycycling.co.uk). They use quiet back roads, with stunning views, so I am really looking forward to the experience.

I am hoping to raise £ a mile, so 1000 miles = £1000.

All your donation goes to the charity. I have fully funded the challenge.

Training
I was not as fit as I thought I should be and so needed to commit to some serious training, including aiming to lose 2 two stone / 15 KGS for the ride. The training is a lot harder than I thought it would be.  My last training ride is to cycle the Brain Tumour Research Randonnee on July 23rd.  The Randonnee is 66 miles around the Isle of Wight. Other cyclists can sign up here: https://bit.ly/2LFVwzC
