Story

Hi

I’m running the Edinburgh Marathon on 27th May to try and raise funds for the Severn Area Rescue Association (SARA).

SARA are the lifeboat service covering the River Severn and surrounding area including Bristol; and is staffed entirely by volunteers, one of whom is my friend Rob who is also running the marathon with me.

They have 4 stations covering the area, and also provide mountain rescue services and help with flood rescues.  The number of call-outs they respond to increases year on year, and the range of equipment and skills they require is also increasing.  As they are a charity, they rely entirely on donations to fund their activities and save lives.

Any donations you can give will be very gratefully received.

 Thanks.
