Hello! Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My company (IBI or Informa Business Information) is giving 10 employees the fantastic opportunity to sail 2,700 nautical miles across the Atlantic in a fundraising / personal development / competitive challenge.

I thought this sounded like a laugh, so entered and got through the first round. This led to a fantastic experience dubbed Bootcamp - that went really, really well. Right up until the point I stepped onto a boat...

Needless to say, I didn't make the final ten.

BUT never fear. It's still all for the Save the Children, and I am now turning my focus to training for a 10K race in September, as well as baking up a storm in the kitchen, and joining other team members in group fundraising activities around the office. I have never run anywhere near 10K before so it will still be a challenge for me (admittedly slightly easier than crossing an ocean).

All the costs of this adventure have been borne by IBI so every penny you donate will go to help children in places like Syria, Iraq and Sudan, not to mention those in need closer to home.

I appreciate what an amazing opportunity this has been for me, so I will be matching all donations to a maximum of £500.
