I have decided along with some work buddies, to take on the gruelling task of walking the Thames Path. Some of us are crazy enough to be walking the full 100km, with the added challenge of completing the route in 24hours (Mad right?!) Whilst some of us will be enjoying the slightly less gruelling, yet still challenging 50km walk...and that's where I come in!

For those of you that have been with me on my fundraising journey, you may know that my last trip to Ben Nevis ended up in 2 knee operations and the lack of an ACL in one knee.  I am now back to a good fitness level (ish) and raring to go, albeit this is not going to be an easy task!

Regardless of the distance our abilities enable us to do, we will all unite on Saturday 10th September to absolutely smash this challenge, be proud of our achievement and most of all, raise some serious money for such an awesome charity.

We chose Tommy's as our nominated charity as it's something that sits very close to our members of our teams heart.

In the UK, 1 in 4 pregnancies will end in miscarriage, stillbirth or premature birth. Often, no one can tell parents why it happened. Their research aims to find out why pregnancy goes wrong and how to stop it happening.

The comforting news is that Tommy's exists to save babies' lives - that is their bottom line. They fund research into the causes and prevention of pregnancy complications that lead to miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth, whilst also providing pregnancy health information for parents-to-be.

I'm extremely excited to be part of this challenge and to raise money for such a great charity.

So please, if you're able to, myself and the team would love for you to make a donation - however big or small. Every penny is sent straight to Tommy's and will also spur us on to keep going down that muddy Thames Path. Be that person to push us on the extra mile!
