My story

As you may know, we're climbing Kilimanjaro to raise money to help people with Down Syndrome. We're a bunch of 50 somethings and need all the help we can get, so dig deep or we'll trouble your conscience forever more. Here's the story so far, and check out our blog www.kilimancrisis.blogspot.com

To celebrate our 50th birthdays, we decided to do something memorable and decided to climb Kilimanjaro. After all, we thought, how hard can it be..?

The answer is HARD..Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa, (and at 5,895m the highest free standing mountain in the world), and we have chosen just about the toughest route.

But we have a very special reason for persevering. One of our party is the father of Theo - the sweetest boy imaginable, born a couple of years ago with Down Syndrome - so we're raising money for Down Syndrome Extra 21, a fab charity that operates in Theo's area. .Every penny you contribute is going to the cause,as we're paying for everything ourselves. Including putting ourselves back together again!

So please dig deep and donate now.
