<p>So today was the day of the race and now my Just Giving Page needs updating. I had the most brilliant experience doing the half marathon - a beautiful route and it was all so fantastically organised. I completed the run in 2 hours 1 minute and 47 seconds which was pretty ok considering the night on the tiles I had in London on Friday night and singing in a wonderful concert in Broadstairs last night (ie the night before the race - the night you want an early night etc!!!). So the training was all worthwhile and thanks to my amazingly generous family and friends I have raised a substantial amount of money for Dandelion Time.</p>

<p>I have been training for a while now to run a half marathon (ok here's a thought - why is it a "half marathon" not "half of a marathon"?) and it is just under a week until I pound the streets of Paddock Wood on 1 April 2012. I wasn't going to ask people to sponsor me as there are so many demands on our money these days, but I have been asked by so many lovely friends who I am raising money for that I thought - "why not?"!</p>
<p>You are always so generous so please give what you can to help me support this fantastic charity - Dandelion Time - they give youngsters hope that they can have a brighter future.
