My father, Jamie, and I are joining a trek this summer to go to Everest base camp. The altitude will certainly be a challenge having never ventured so high before, as will braving the scary flight to Lukla in the heart of the mountains. 

We both believe that such a challenge is worthy of raising some money for charity. I have chosen Breast Cancer Now to support a cause close to our hearts, with several members of our family having suffered from this awful disease. Breast cancer affects so many families worldwide and the research that is being done by this charity will hopefully help them achieve their ambition by 2050 to stop breast cancer taking lives.
